After a good nights rest we woke and started walking early; so early that we unplugged our headphones and took on a casual pace.
The roads were quiet, but the wind had died down a little, and as it began getting dusky we stopped by a large collection of pylons and a dam to check our map. We had exceeded distance, and so we hung around to have a look around.
After leaving we decided to take advantage of the quiet roads and really push for more distance. We walked until after sunset, hoping to make it to a train crossing but stopping just before a hill as the cloud cover made it pitch black, and thus walking at night a bad idea on such potholed roads. All the same, we knew we’d made good distance and were feeling good.
