Arjun was up first, and for the first time since before Kiev saw the sun. It was definitely warmer, and Arjun was happy, even more so when we found mouse tracks leading up to Kierans cart. Luckily they hadn’t nested, only nibbled at some bread, but Kieran still had to deal with cleaning up bits of mouse droppings.
The sun was short lived, by the time we’d packed up and got on the road the clouds had rolled in and everything was grey again. We stopped a couple of times, knowing we had to make distance but seemingly doing so. We stopped at bus stop 324km, saw a car drifting in a field, and made near 25km with what seemed relative ease. We stopped that night in decent camping just outside Poltava, our next major town before getting onto some real rural roads.
