19.09.2012 A taste of plains

Going past the garage again to fill up on water, we aimed to make big distance, doing a full 15km in one go after we left.

Three American Ukrainians back to visit family stopped for a chat and to take photos, and the biscuits Kieran bought from the garage the day before turned out to be nearly two months out of date. Very stale.

The woodland opened up into desolate plains, with the only visible object on the horizon being a nuclear power station. With such a distant view we could see bad weather rolling in, and so made fast distance to a faint treeline down the road.

Covered over 25km and camped to the sound of thunder.
