Checking for woodland on our map we set a target, which ended up being much closer than expected and we reached it by 3pm. Checking the map again we decided to stop as there was quite a lot of small villages and towns ahead and the woodland looked really nice.
We walked a way into the woods sticking to the outer edge, and found a decent sized clearing with a tree stump seat. With so much time to spare we went through our carts, repacking where we could and trying to make things fit better, and then watched a film.
That night we didn’t get any sleep. The woods that were so quiet and beautiful in the light came alive at night, with birds calling, boar screaming, branches falling out of trees, inexplicable whooping noises and the constant sound of gunshots and barking dogs in the distance. At one point Kieran heard Arjun snore three times before waking up again. That was his only bit of sleep.
