Rafałs route was indeed more shaded, and we made it to Nałęczów without much trouble. On the way a lady stopped us to chat and advised also about visiting the old town in Lublin, and we got to take in some nice views. And hills.
But when we arrived in Nałęczów we decided it had been worthwhile. The place was really nice; small, but full of trees and large public parks with some pleasant restaurants and shops. We walked out the other side for camping and then returned with cameras, stopping in a hunters restaurant with animal skins, trophy heads and stuffed badgers (it also had wifi), where we stopped and tried wild boar sausage.
As we left to return to camping we went past a couple of house parties and lamented our situation.
