24.06.2012 The last of a distraction

We awoke refreshed, and early as a result, then made epic pace to Konigsbruck, finishing the day at 4pm. Kieran saw a Spar.

We didn’t know what to do. We couldn’t walk further because we had already walked way too far, there was nothing open in town because it was sunday, and so for hours we sat around just waiting for the England Italy game to start. We got that bored that Kieran decided to wash his socks in a public fountain, which got us some strange looks from locals.

Eventually the match started, and we were in an Italian restaurant for it. As the match ran on quite late, we ended up being the only people in the place, drinking with the staff who gave us free shots for the penalties which we got our England flags out for.

Predictably, we ended up shaking hands and begrudgingly congratulating the staff, then walked to camp in the rain.
