We woke up to rain. Seems to be a recurring pattern in Germany.
The signs said 60km to Kassel, our feet (though not exactly rested) were feeling better, and the hills were beginning to flatten out. It rained for most of the day and all the shops were closed for a public holiday. All in all, not much happened. Except we knocked the signs to Kassel down to 24km.
As the sun was going down, though we wanted to continue, we had to stop and find camp. We treated ourselves to some cheap beer from a garage in Ithsa, which once inside was more like a bar, with seven blokes stood around a high table drinking. It was strange, and we left in a bit of a hurry.
