We woke to it still raining, we knew we were beginning to smell, Arjuns burst tyre had developed a square shape and Kieran had two tyres now made more of duck-tape than rubber. But we were still in good moods and things only got better.
The owner of the shower store came across as we were packing, and quickly warmed to us once Arjun had explained our situation, he even offered to fill up our water bottles. The bodge-job carts held out, the rain finished, we got to Brussels sooner than expected and quickly found a hostel with room.
We showered, got into clean clothes, and slept early.
